I've been working with Telerik's OpenAccess ORM now for the last month and I have to say that I am very impressed.
Manipulating my model whether from within the designer or on the back-end and having everything kept in sync couldn't be easier.
CRUD has become a simple task now and adding support to my application for persistence is a piece of cake.
I looked at 10 different ORM tools and none of them were as intuitive and as cooperative as OpenAccess.
If you're looking to start using an ORM - don't hesitate - try OpenAccess - you won't be sorry you did.

Telerik's OpenAccess ORM is a fantastic product we use for maintaining the relationships between our domain model and the database. Without it we wouldn't be able to create the rich, business logic enabled domain that we use in our daily application. OpenAccess ORM allows us to keep the database logic separated from the business logic and focus on building our domain all with the assurance that the storage of our objects is in very good hands.

I have been in the IT industry for 27 years and have been a Microsoft Certified Trainer for 15 years. I have been using the Telerik Premium Collection for about 3 years now. Although I am very capable of writing my own controls, using Telerik controls has saved a huge number of hours for my team. The cost of building and maintaining your own controls can be massive and far outweighs the cost of a Telerik license. The support I have received from Telerik has been awesome and I have had answers to my queries on most occasions within 24 hours.

Some time ago we started out with Telerik's RadControls for ASP.NET. Over the years we purchased all the Telerik products, never to be let down! It strikes me that Telerik is a remarkably customer oriented company. The product value is great! Lots of useful functions and nice looking features. Not overstuffed with marketing material, like some do. The support is superb. While other companies might try a few hints before going to lunch, Telerik often provides custom sample code, even if I don't ask! Bottom line, eh, rather not for everyone: Amazing value for your money!

What we enjoy the most about Telerik's products is their use of the same naming and standards as Microsoft. I have been using Telerik OpenAccess ORM for less than a month and I am thrilled with how easy it is to create complex CRUD screens. We are currently using a third party product as an ORM. While this product is mature and can do anything, CRUD with it is painful. With automatic change tracking and direct support for SQL Server Compact 3.5, OpenAccess allows us to write our CRUD modules in a fraction of the code required with the other product.

I've used several Telerik products (RadControls for ASP.NET Ajax, WinForms, WPF, and OpenAccess ORM) since coming into the software development industry a little over four years ago, and have had nothing but great experiences in each go-round. First and foremost Telerik's product support is second to none. Anytime I've had an issue or question in the past I've almost always had a response (which is usually the solution/answer) within twenty four hours. Secondly, I find that their controls are extremely easy to implement, and are highly customizable. And finally there's a level of consistency of updates and new releases that is unmatched in this industry.

We have been using OpenAccess for about a year and a half on our projects. Recently one of our customers needed to change their backend database from Microsoft SQL Server to PostgreSQL Server.
In the past this would have been a daunting task and quite frankly cost prohibitive, but because of choosing Telerik OpenAccess as our ORM, we were able to perform the conversion in a matter of days rather than weeks or months.
These tools let us code faster, cleaner, and focus on the logic rather than the mundane task of coding a database layer - and let us move from one backend database to another with relative ease.

I have just purchased Telerik's Premium Collection and when I tried Telerik OpenAccess Domain Model I had a big surprise - it opens firebird's databases with no pain.
Very, very good job Telerik! Now I can migrate or integrate my Legacy software in Delphi easily.

After years of using the standard .NET controls, adding Telerik to my toolbelt has greatly improved my productivity and the look of my applications. Telerik tools are well documented and the support forums are fantastic. I especially love the no-nonsense approach to licensing. After having used tools from other vendors, Telerik sticks with their motto of rock solid software over rock solid licensing. If you are considering Telerik for your development environment, I highly recommend it.

At Univision, we have been using the ASP.net RadControls for 4 years. These are in my opinion the best controls I have used. Besides the functionality, features, and ease of use, you also get great examples on how to use the controls. Also, the support is very responsive which is invaluable to us.
Since then we purchased the full suite. The WPF and Silverlight examples have given us great ideas about improving on our own dashboard.
For the small price of the controls, you will gain in time saved in developing the same functionality yourself.

I have extensively used Telerik JustCode, RadControls for WPF, and ORM products over the last year and have found them to be well written software, that saves me tons of time. I particularly like how the design mirrors standard .NET practice and the rapid development cycle that provides new capabilities each quarter.
The ORM product in particular has grown by leaps and bounds and helps me a ton with my SQL database intensive coding projects. It is so nice to no longer write manual SQL join statements for every database I need to support. The LINQ support is awesome!
Finally, I also appreciate Telerik's active attempt to make a developer community by rewarding customer input through their points system.

R.A.D. Yes, what does it mean: Rapid Application Development. Seems smart to use the term RAD for your components, but you also should commit yourself to it as well ! And so they do at Telerik!
Telerik understands. Not only the controls are rich, but the support is outstanding. The code library, blogs, documentation and examples are great. Best of all is the support; Yesterday I posted a small problem, this morning I got an answer. Telerik understands that R.A.D. doesn’t stop at components and properties.
Proovit Business Software (Netherlands) is using Telerik ASP.NET components for about 4 years now. Recently we also discovered Telerik OpenAccess ORM. Also a great tool. A few months ago I was downloading some updates and was looking at upgrades because of Reporting and OpenAccess. I was surprised to see that upgrading from ASP.NET RAD Controls to “Telerik Premium Collection”, which includes controls for ASP.NET AJAX, Windows forms, OpenAcces and Reporting, and some more stuff, only costs $649, while upgrading ASP.NET RAD Controls only was $499… Frankly, I think Telerik is selling too cheap!

In my line of work my main responsibility is to produce small, line of business applications, as quickly and cheaply as possible. These applications are generally used to improve internal business processes and have no direct revenue making capability. As a result budgets are generally tight and time frames are always short. I was looking for a product that allowed me to give rich, high quality, uber functional web applications to our customers, while reducing the time it took to develop the application.
While those two goals seemed so far apart, the use of “Telerik’s RadControls for ASP.net AJAX” and incorporating “Telerik’s ORM” has allowed me to surpass my goals. Each new application allows me to present customers with even more functionality and features, while the time to produce those applications is even more greatly reduced. I highly recommend this product, period. But if you are a line of business application developer, it can allow you to deliver more to your internal business customers for less money in a shorter amount of time.

As money gets tight in a business, all expenses are reviewed. Telerik's great products and support make it an easy decision to part with the cash for the Premium Collection for .NET license.

Telerik is for sure the best option on .NET Component packs. Every product is 100% managed code, and you can access the source code of almost every package. The support is very effective and you get quick answers by the Telerik team or by community users. But I needed support just a few times: the documentation is very complete and well written (especially the ASP.NET documentation and training PDF). The price is very reasonable and I'm sure that I have started a great partnership that will last for many years. The reason is very simple: today, I don't have to look for any kind of components, because Telerik has it all. Really ALL (ASP.NET, Silverlight, XBAP and Windows Forms).

I have been developing with ASP.NET since it came out. Telerik's tools make my life a lot easier as a developer, and are often written in a way that I would have, which is a huge bonus. I value their approach to mirror Microsoft design practices, which allows me to leverage my 'raw .NET' development experience to get productive quickly.
I must also say that the Telerik controls are far superior to another third party products, which I have also owned. I am talking about the internal things you find out about after you are committed to use the controls for *real* work - not just sample applications.

When you start looking for one, the most important thing in any component suite is the functionality. I've tried them all and Telerik offers more than any of the others. More tools and more functions. Things that let me concentrate on what I do best - writing software.
When you start using them, the really important thing becomes the support. On this Telerik does not let down either. Real people who really know what they are doing and who really care about their products.

Telerik controls are the gold standard for components. I have used almost every one of their custom controls and I have found them superior to anything else on the market. They also give the best support in the business and I have been able to get help on customization of various controls within 1 business day. They have more demos and help files than any company by far.

I'm a newbie to the web world,
I'm originally a "uniPaaS" (application development environment) programmer, team leader and an expert on Magic Software Enterprises products. The difference between a company that keeps it's "cards close to her chest" and the openness of Telerik, the responsiveness, the open support tickets, the demos and shear mass of available resources is mind boggling.
I started working on a project straight out of a 2 courses that lasted 2 weeks. I heard of Telerik from my teacher, in his words: "Use Telerik. It does everything and saves you a lot of problems, the code is great and the service is very responsive." I thought he was exaggerating, but I was wrong!!
The code is a pleasure and the service, don't get me started on the support service.
The support is very responsive, faster then they say. They nail it on the head every time. I feel like I have a team working with me and it feels great!
I love working with the Telerik toolox and with Telerik, the company. Telerik is a strategic partner, as far as I have any thing to say about it!

I have been using your controls since 2002 and have found that they have always given me a competitive edge when biding for projects and contracts. My designers no longer ask me if we can do something they just assume your tools will provide the solution and we haven't been let down yet.
On the few occasions I've needed support I've always received a prompt and helpful response with code examples where necessary.
When I was chairman of VBUG I always took every opportunity to sell the advantages of using the Telerik tools to my fellow developers and continue to do so.

I have been developing with Micorosft technologies as a developer for over 15 years. I have used third party software in the past and struggled with their controls, support and overall experience. I always had to jump through hoops to get their controls and my apps to do what I wanted to do and to do what they boasted they could do.
So last year I needed a third party software development tool with controls for ajax. I decided to try Telerik. From their sales team a year ago all the way until today when they responded to one of my many support tickets, I have NEVER seen a more easy to use, perfectly documented control suite with unbelievable technical support!!!

So far my experience with OpenAccess ORM has been very positive. The design time wizards are excellent, it has strong support for disconnected scenarios, and I think the best feature has been the support. It's not easy to learn an ORM product and make it work in your unique scenario by cobbling together forum posts here and there. It takes a lot of time to get it right and keep it right. I found I've saved a very significant amount of time by using Telerik's support and they've been excellent in quality and timeliness of reponses. The time saved in not having to figure everything out myself has easily paid for it.

We are currently using the Telerik 2009 suite of controls with OpenAccess ORM. I just have to say how wonderful these tools are, passing objects is SO MUCH BETTER than creating datasets. Our database has no stored procedures or triggers. The Telerik suite of tools is the only set of tools we will ever need. I can't wait to see what Telerik comes up with next.

Telerik OpenAccess is phenomenal - maybe even revolutionary. It has saved me hundreds of development hours. I now no longer maintain any data access layer code. OpenAccess seamlessly integrates my most complex object models with SQL Server with no manual intervention. I enthusiastically recommend it for most any scenario requiring persistence.

We've been using OpenAccess for nearly 3 years, initially for 3 small-medium size applications within our product line and now we're using it for larger applications (100s of persistent classes). I've always been impressed with the technical quality of OpenAccess - the team's long track record with ORM makes it a true thoroughbred - and for us it has achieved what we wanted & expected: made managing persistence a 'solved problem' so we can focus on on our application domain. Moreover, the documentation is clear and complete and whenever we've had questions or problems the support has always been excellent - both timely and effective.

I've tried Telerik UI Controls and OpenAccess ORM. The UI controls are great - easy to use and full of functionality. Telerik OpenAccess ORM also proved I made the right choice - very intuitive to build up, with very useful mechanisms such as fetch groups, extensive support for LINQ - and it's getting better and better. BTW, the support service is brilliant. Even on the forums the Telerik guys respond quickly. The Telerik blogs are also really helpful.

I have just finished my first full project using Telerik's OpenAccess ORM and have to say it is just amazing once you get the hang of it. I had a go at using it end of last year when it was just launched but found it a bit confusing so gave up, but after trying again this time I won't look back - it has speeded up development on end and the advantage of having a complete object oriented application has been invaluable. Again, just amazing work, especially combined with your other UI controls, you have a customer for life!!!

The biggest benefits of OpenAccess are that it мakes it easy to build a data model that provides the foundation for simple to create, rich queries needed to power an analytics site like SL Commerce. With the tool I can work from either forward or reverse mappings. It supports standard LINQ query statements - no proprietary query language required and has intelligent caching that makes the web site super-responsive. And Telerik has awesome, responsive technical support that makes it easy to overcome tough development problems.

We love the Telerik Premium Collection for .NET, which we've been using for over 6 years now. Whenever we need a new component, we always check Telerik first, and usually there is already a solution for us to use. Originally we just started with the RAD-Editor. Today I have used every tool included in the Premium Collection of Telerik at least once. Support is also extremely responsive and professional. Way to go!
...And I would like to add that the integration of the Telerik controls into DotNetNuke is great. Love it!
