This is probably a grossly simple issue that I am overlooking late in the day, but I am unable to connect to the TFS data warehouse. When accessing the Dashboard Configuration Settings and choose to adjust the connection string I have attempted just about every possible combination I can think of and always end with one of two errors. To be clear I have verified connectivity to the database engine via SSMS using the authenication credentials I use to configure the dashboard connection string. As a not we are currently using SQL authentication as we do not have an AD store so no windows authentication with our sql server.
The two errors I am getting at either "A connection cannot be made to redirector. Ensure that "SQL Browser' service is running." or
"A connection cannot be made make sure the server is running." From the server side, both the server and the SQL Browser service are enabled and running.
Any suggestions?
