  Hi All
  
  This is loosly related to the masked textbox. I am playing with the example code in the SL examples for data validation and its all working well. I noticed though that the example solution does not throw out to Visual Studio with "Exception was not handled by user code" where as my solution does do this.
  
  Not important, just wondering if there was a setting in the project or something to ignore thrown exceptions?

  You can manage exceptions and how Visual Studio react to them at menu - Debug / Exceptions.
