    Hi,

I cannot find "RadMaskedTextBox" in the new release with SP1. I uninstalled all the previous versions. I can see RadMaskedCurrencyInput, RadMaskedDateTimeInput,RadMaskedNumericInput, and RadMaskedTextInput controls but NO RadMaskedTextBox. Has this been replaced? I cannot see this in both VIsual Studio and/or Blend.

    Hi Deepak,

The RadMaskedTextBox control is still part of the Telerik RadControls for Silverlight suite. And you should be able to find it in the VS Toolbar as well as in Blend. This is why I am not sure what is causing your issues. Can you elaborate on how you serach the control and which assemblies are referenced in your application?

    All the best,

    Hi Tina,
This seems a little bizzare to me as well. I went through the documentation. It said that:

In order to use RadMaskedTextBox control in your projects you have to add references to the following assemblies:

    • Telerik.Windows.Controls
    • Telerik.Windows.Controls.Input

I have reference to both the assemblies with the version number: 2011.3.1220.1040

I have tried uninstalling Silverlight 5 SDKs and tools. It still doesn't appear in the toolbox.
Currently I have Silverlight 5 tools and toolkit installed with VS2010 SP1 along with Telerik Q3 2011 SP1.
During installation I chose to upgrade Q3 to Q3 SP1.

Please see the attached screenshot. There is no RadMaskedTextBox. I can see other variants of it.

I have also tried adding in VS2010 by doing "Choose items...". I cannot see the control in the list.

I can add the control in xaml as you can see in the screenshot but it does not appear in the toolbox.

    Am I missing something here?

    Hi Deepak,

    Thank you for this report.
This is actually a bug, that prevents the RadMaskedTextBox control from appearing in the toolbox.
We have logged it in our PITS application located here, where you can check its progress and vote for it.
And we will do our best to fix this in some of ours forthcoming releases.

It is still possible to use the RadMaskedTextBox control by adding it in XAML as you shown in your "maskedTextbox.jpg" screenshot.

We however strongly advice to use our newest RadMasked family controls, i.e. RadMaskedTextInput, RadMaskedNumericInput, RadMaskedCurrencyInput and RadMaskedDateTimeInput whenever is possible, because they have more features than the original RadMaskedTextInput control.

Your Telerik points are updated according this report.

    Greetings,
    Vladislav
