  I cannot get the examples to install. I get errors with the AdventureWorks DB being created and then dropped.  I'm did an uninstall of the old version and re-install of the new one.
  
  Also I changed the default folder to d:\xxx but when I try to do a repair / change it is getting stuck trying to look for files at c:\ ... specifically with the Report Designer.

  Hello,
  
  Telerik Reporting Examples require AdventureWorks installed on the local machine SQL Server. If you already has this DB installed from other product please verify:

  • the name should be exactly AdventureWorks (see attached General.png)
  • and the files should have the same name (see Files.png)

  Also you should check if your Windows account has a login credentials in the local SQL Server instance, similar to the shown in the attached screenshots (ServerRoles.png and UserMapping.png) for the account TELERIK\neikov.
  
  Major version of Telerik Reporting can be installed side-by-side. Minor version updates (service packs and internal builds) uninstall the corresponding version of the product without your intervention.

  I have all the required user permissions but no AdventureWorks installed.  As I mentioned before I've had all the samples installed before, I just uninstalled the prior version.
  
  I cannot get the install MSI to 'repair' and just install the DB.  Other than uninstall / re-install I'm not sure what else to try.  I'm guessing there is an issue when changing from the default installation folder as per the other error I had.  I really don't want to put it on my root drive.
  
  Is there an install script just for the DB?

  Your descriptions did not help us to understand what's going wrong on your machine. We need more technical details, such as errors/screenshots.
  
  I will repeat what we know about your installation problems:
  

  • AdventureWorks raise error during installation
  • You cannot succeed with installing in a different from default folder

  We discussed the first problem in the previous answer. We successfully install Telerik Reporting in a folder different that the default folder. Make sure the folder you use is not on a network share.
  
  To gather additional info about the problems please run the installation from the command line:
      msiexec /i Telerik_Reporting_Q1_2012_TRIAL.msi /l*xv install.log
  and send us the install.log.
