We are thrilled about this week’s addition of Chris Sells to the Telerik team.  If you haven’t already heard, Chris, a world-renowned industry veteran, has joined Telerik as Vice President of the Developer Tools division.

His division will be responsible for a number of UI control sets – including WinForms, WPF, Silverlight and ASP.NET – as well as a number of tools – including the Just line, OpenAccess ORM, and Telerik Reporting.  They will be ensuring developers are making the most of existing platforms while staying well-equipped for the future.

Chris’ thoughts about his new role can be read on his blog: http://www.sellsbrothers.com/Posts/Details/12706

Wonder why we are excited? Well, Chris only spent much of the past decade at Microsoft, most recently as Principal Program Manager for the Developer Division working on Visual Studio. In this role, he was instrumental in driving the end-to-end developer story for Metro style apps using JavaScript. Chris led the team responsible for building the most ambitious set of Visual Studio templates to date, which set the application model and brought the Windows UX style guidelines to life for JavaScript developers targeting Windows 8. He has authored twelve books for software developers, dozens of magazine articles and hundreds of freely available internet blog posts. As a distinguished speaker, he has given hundreds of technical presentations and keynotes at industry conferences around the world, most recently at the Microsoft //build/ conference launching the developer tools for Windows 8.

Please welcome Chris to Telerik!
