It’s been a couple of days since Q2 2012 and the new addition to the release – the Metro Design Templates. To give you a better idea of what you can achieve with the templates and to make it easier for you to choose what's right for you, we have prepared an application that is showing all of the templates that we have so far. You can download it from the marketplace.

application home screen   Content Views

The templates are divided in 3 categories: Content Views, Pages and Building Blocks. As their names imply, the Content Views provide different views or ways to show the content that you need on your page. The templates inside this category are also organized in tags, which better explain their purpose: lists, galleries, etc. The Pages category contains full pages that your application might need, like: calendar, about page and more. The Building Blocks are the templates which should be imported while you are building your application. They contain our error handling tool – RadDiagnostics and some reminders – for example if you want your application to have a trial mode, using the TrialReminder will be an easy way to remind your customers to get the full version.

Template Navirgation   Category New   Searching by keyword

When you open a template, you will notice an arrow-icon in the upper side of the page, which opens a navigation for easy browsing of the templates with the same tag. The Design Templates Showcase application also contains a list with all the new templates so that you never miss the hot stuff. Templates are easy to find with our search, which allows you to search by category or keyword.

To get a better idea of how the design templates look like, download the application now.
