Telerik blogs

With the growing number of Telerik AJAX controls getting more and more with each subsequent release, it is gradually harder for the developers who are expending them to locate a certain control under a single Visual Studio ToolBox group. Which naturally leads us to the isolation of a separate toolbox groups based on the type and usage of the components. Starting Q2 2011, you will find the following ten VS 2008/2010 Toolbox groups for our AJAX components when you install them from the automated package (unless, of course, you canceled the automatic Telerik AJAX toolbox configuration action due to some valid reason):

  • Telerik AJAX Navigation Components [release version] [.NET version]
  • Telerik AJAX Date/Color Picker Components [release version] [.NET version]
  • Telerik AJAX Container Components [release version] [.NET version]
  • Telerik AJAX Miscellaneous Components [release version] [.NET version]
  • Telerik AJAX Data Editing Components [release version] [.NET version]
  • Telerik AJAX Calendar and Scheduler Components [release version] [.NET version]
  • Telerik AJAX Data Components [release version] [.NET version]
  • Telerik AJAX Performance Optimization Components [release version] [.NET version]
  • Telerik AJAX Upload Components [release version] [.NET version]
  • Telerik AJAX Visualization Components [release version] [.NET version]

Note that in case you add the components manually to the toolbox, they will still be injected into a single place (currently active tab) as before.

And to visualize the distinction more clearly, here is a screenshot that illustrates the pre- and post- Q2 2011 Telerik AJAX VS ToolBox structure:

I hope that you will be content with this amendment and it will smooth the progress of your development even more!
