    Telerik Platform Keynote Recording, Resources and Prize Winners!

    On February 12th, we hosted our platform launch keynote, which gave you a better understanding of how the Telerik Platform works and a demonstration of how you can leverage it. It was by far the largest online keynote Telerik has ever put on hosting approximately 8,000 attendees and fielding over 1,200 questions! The interest in our new tools is incredible and humbling and we want to thank everyone who attended the event.

    What Carl Sagan Taught Me About Software

    Software ecosystems are vital to a developer's success. It's hard to place a value on the benefit derived from being able to lean on other's experience, as well as easily find and digest content that's relevant to your project. Ecosystems don't just sprout up overnight though. It takes the right timing, the perfect conditions and lots of love and cultivation. Trying to actively create a new ecosystem around a product or platform is a lot like terraforming. Carl Sagan knows a thing or two about that.

    Legal-ese demystified, part 2!

    So, picking up where we left off yesterday...  Not too long ago, I received a question regarding our licensing policies, specifically section 3-1 in which we state: "Telerik does not provide technical support for modified source code" Which, to the customer, seemed a bit odd considering we do offer such useful tidbits in our documentation like how to inherit a RadGrid column, albeit with a disclaimer at the bottom reminding people about our support stance on modified source, which this would then fall into. This puts us into a little gray area that requires some explanation- namely, why provide info on inheriting...
