Welcome back to another episode of RadTips, a series of episodes offering tips and tricks for using Telerik's RadControls. If you've missed previous episodes, be sure to check them out. Each is only a few minutes long and covers a specific RadControl:
In this episode, I'm going to show you how to use the LinqDataSource control to combine the power of .NET 3.5's Language Integrated Query (LINQ) with the RadGrid to get data from the database to the web page quickly and easily. If you've never used LINQ before, I also recommend checking out ScottGu's LINQ to SQL tutorial which can help get you started. If you are interested in seeing how LINQ can boost the performance of your RadGrid, check out the online demo. Otherwise, enjoy the video.
As always, code and video are available for download.
