The Q2 2010 release will take report interactivity in Telerik Reporting to a whole new level. The new version of the tool will allow end-users to drill through reports and subreports, to jump to other sections in a report, and to go to external web URLs. We have managed to achieve this functionality through the use of smart hyperlinks.
With its new version Telerik Reporting will also introduce two new Data Source components aimed at improving the tool’s integration with Telerik OpenAccess ORM and ADO.NET Entity Framework. The new Data Source Components will allow users to codelessly connect the data report items (Table, Crosstab, List, and Chart) to the object-relational frameworks, through the use of design-time wizards.
Finally with Q2 2010 Telerik Reporting will introduce improved layout rendering performance to the table items (crosstab, table, list). The time Telerik Reporting will take to render a table will be at least two times faster with smaller tables when compared to Q1 2010. In large data-intensive crosstabs the rendering benefits are even more impressive. In addition, the memory footprint for all table items has been decreased by nearly 50% as a result of the optimized layout rendering.
For all current and new users we have organized a special free webinar event that will introduce them to all the cool new features and enhancement coming to Telerik Reporting with Q2 2010. During the live event attendees will have the chance of winning a Telerik Ultimate Collection (valued at $1999) so make sure you book you seat now.
