In the spirit of full transparency, I want to share some good news about today's Kendo UI Official Launch online event- good news that has a bit of a "catch."
There is huge excitement around the introduction of Kendo UI. There is so much interest that the Kendo UI launch event has effectively "sold out." Nearly 3,000 people have registered to attend today's live online event! Your excitement is contagious and it has got us super excited about today's launch event, too. We can't wait to show-off more of Kendo UI and talk to you directly about what's in this first release.
What could possibly be bad about this huge excitement? As it turns out, our online event platform can "only" host 1,001 simultaneous attendees. That in itself is a big audience, but we fully expect to reach (and then exceed) that limit with today's event.
What does that mean to you?
Getting in to today's live event will be first-come, first-served. Once the limit is reached, you may get a message telling you that you cannot join the live event. We apologize up-front for this inconvenience. We would love to get everyone in to the live event, and you can bet we'll be upgrading our online event systems for 2012.
For now, to join the live event, make sure you log-on early and get in the webinar waiting room.
There's not much we can do once the limit is reached, but we're going to do a few things to try to make-up for the limit for everyone that's registered to attend the launch webinar:
We know it's not perfect, but hopefully this is an acceptable compromise that can make everyone happy during this exciting launch time.
Capacity limits aside, we can't thank you enough for the overwhelmingly positive feedback on Kendo UI so far, and we look forward to extending the conversation today in the live web events. We work hard to make your lives as developers easier and today's release is just the beginning for many more exciting things to come.
See you at the launch!
