As you probably know, the next version of Windows Phone OS codenamed Mango was released to developers last month. The new Windows Phone Mango Marketplace is also about to open very soon (expected next week!). Among the many new amazing APIs that come with this build are some UI changes and enhancements.

To reflect these UI changes and to enable you to develop for Mango, we are releasing a new separate build of RadControls for Windows Phone targeting Mango devices. In this build we are adding 2 entirely new controls and enhancing the existing controls to leverage the new features and UI changes coming in the new WPDev platform:

  1. Telerik ListBox is now updated to use the new upgraded Mango ScrollViewer component. With this update end users will get a smoother experience when scrolling throughout the listbox items. The control is much faster than the Mango default listbox control and has greater sensitivity to user input. You can see full comparison between the Telerik Listbox and Toolkit Listbox on the product page. You can read more in this dedicated blog post on the topic.

  2. Jump List control is updated to reflect the sticky header support that was added in the Mango OS. Now when users scroll throughout the items the group header in which the top items are can be visible, so the end users will not wonder to which group the topmost visible items belong. See a video of this new functionality below:

More details for the sticky header support are available in this blog post.

  3. New RadMessageBox control makes its debut with this release. We created this new control in order to allow a more flexible way for developers to gather user input. Developers can set any UI element as a content of the message box and also can specify any string as a content of the OK/Cancel buttons. So now you can create a MessageBox that looks like this:

More details for the new MessageBox control is available in this blog post.

  4. New Polar chart control. We are continuing the additions to our charting suite for Windows Phone with a new polar charts series.

More details on the polar charts are available in this blog post.

Download the latest version of the controls from your Telerik account (trial download is also available).

Now that you have the latest and greatest Telerik UI components maybe it will be interesting for you to see how to upload your Mango application on the Marketplace.
