Telerik acquires Avaxo
It’s a great pleasure to announce that Telerik completed the acquisition of Avaxo Ltd., makers of the Bookvar mind-mapping software. The Avaxo team will join Telerik’s Silverlight and WPF product groups in their quest to deliver next-generation interfaces. I showed you some Telerik Silverlight goodness in my last post but here's some more: check out the iZoofari video case study that was shown at the MIX 08 keynote. It's a great demonstration of how Microsoft's latest technologies can help IT people and developers roll out amazing applications and enjoy tremendous productivity. RadControls for ASP.NET AJAX and validation
Our good friend Peter Blum recently announced official support for our upcoming RadControls for ASP.NET AJAX (aka "Prometheus"). All customers that are using his Data Entry Suite will be able to integrate validation into the Telerik controls almost invisibly and without much pain and effort. For those of you that are not familiar with Peter Blum, he is an ASP Insider and the author of the BEST set of validation controls on the market. I don't have any reservations to recommend his products as they are well done, very stable and very well documented.

It’s an interesting question that I got from a customer at a conference recently. He was wondering why we entered the Windows Forms space when we were a few years late compared to the other vendors and WPF was knocking on the door.
