What’s New in RadMap for Silverlight / WPF in Q3 2010
It has been a while since my last blog post on the topic but now that the Q3 2010 release is up and running, it is time to slow down a bit and restart my writing practice as well. The major highlight for the Data Visualization Team at Telerik for the past months was improving (enabling) the development of real-world business dashboard scenarios with the controls part of the RadControls suite. My colleague Vladimir already blogged about one of our newest additions (the RadSparkline set of controls) and we will be introducing RadBulletGraph in greater detail shortly as well but today I will focus your...

Using Shapefiles with RadMap
Since the introduction of RadMap many customers have expressed a need to load shapefiles onto it. We are adding native support for shapefiles in the Q3 Release, along with vastly improving the performance of information, and dynamic layers. When we make the Q3 release you will be able to switch over to our reader by changing about...

First of all – a BIG thanks to all of you early adopters, who gave the control a try and shared...

Introducing RadMap for Silverlight
Q3 2009 was an exciting release for the Data Visualization Team here at Telerik. My colleague Vladimir already highlighted the most notable new features and improvements to our charting solution and now I would like to draw your attention to one of our newest additions to the control suite – RadMap for Silverlight. Here are the main highlights: Map Sources support – RadMap for Silverlight allows you to visualize rich geographical information from external geo imagery sources. VEMapProvider (Bing Maps) EmptyProvider – the Map control also supports empty provider that is not connected to any real imagery service;...

ASP.NET AJAX Inheritance Gotcha
Hello, my name is Manol Donev and I'm part of the ASP.NET team responsible for the development and maintenance of our grid, ajax, calendar, input, and chart components. With time ticking away and the September release date closing down I can assure you there is a lot going on here at the moment -- gradually orienting our ASP.NET product line towards ASP.NET AJAX is by far our main focus of course and probably you will find some of the ASP.NET AJAX tips and tricks I'll be writing about useful in your own projects as well. OK, this one does not qualify exactly...
