9 Windows 8 App Contests Worth Checking Out

It’s not a surprise that forward –thinking developers are already jumping on the opportunities the Windows 8 platform opens up for them. 40 million Windows 8 copies sold in the first month (true, we don’t know the installation rate yet, but it is still an impressive number), being the expected platform of choice for the enterprise and allowing developers to reuse existing skills are just some of the reasons Windows 8 is so appealing to developers. Presumably the Store already exceeded the 20,000 apps mark. With Windows 8, even smaller development shops or independent developers have their shot at creating the next app phenomena. And no matter how great your idea and implementation might be, additional funding always helps.
