What is special about Test Studio licensing?

Based on popular demand, Telerik has implemented a revolutionary new licensing model that delivers the flexibility of a Floating User license at the price of a Node-Locked license.

How it works:

Test Studio can be installed on multiple machines as long as it’s only activated on one machine at a time (assuming a single license is purchased). If you need to move the license to another machine, a simple, one-click deactivation will free-up the license so it may be activated on another machine. There is no limit to the number of times this process can be performed and no need to get in touch with us, it just works. Please, mind, however, that only 1 user will be allowed to access our support system.

To get a better idea of how beneficial the Portable Machine License is, we have included some additional information for other common licensing models below:

Traditional Node-Locked licensing allows software to be installed on a single machine. Routine events such as machine failures, staff turnover, team reorganization and project assignments become challenging especially when combined with the Activation limits commonly associated with such licensing.

Floating User licensing allows multiple users to have the software installed, with a certain number of concurrent users allowed depending on the quantity of Floating Users purchased. This option becomes very expensive.
