Testcase Management, Execution, and Source Control
Test Studio is fully integrated within Visual Studio Team System and Professional Edition 2008, 2010 and 2012. It adds a number of functionalities to VS, such as Testcase management and execution, source control, remote execution, and reporting by using Team Foundation Server (TFS). Test Studio tests can be aggregated with all the other VS Team Suite test types in the run manager, test lists and test view. They can also be checked-in TFS and used with VS’s Continuous Integration Server. We leverage the functionality already built-in to VS including test case management and execution.
Integration with Visual Studio Unit Testing
Test Studio comes with built-in support for Visual Studio Team System and its unit testing framework.
Continuous Integration with Build Server
You can integrate any build server with your recorded tests. Whether you are using CruiseControl, TeamCity or Visual Studio’s Build Server, you can execute your recorded tests seamlessly on the server. Tests also run natively using Microsoft's command line execution tool: MsTest.exe and Test Studios built-in execution engine.
