Customers have been asking us to provide a way for their teams to record time. We’re planning on providing a comprehensive yet extremely clean and simple way to address this problem.
The Time Tracking will come as free TeamPulse features. Here are a few of those you should
expect to see:
- Ability to track time against tasks, stories, bugs
- Ability to enter time against an iteration or release or project
- Track non-working time
- Report and export time tracking data
And here is an early preview of the extension:
Track Progress
TeamPulse ensures full project transparency by offering a comprehensive real-time view into the project. Using the built-in project management analytics (Project Dashboard, StoryBoard, TaskBoard and Progress Grid) everyone on the team can quickly see what's going on in every aspect of the project and react to what they see.
Track Progress Across Multiple Projects and Teams
The latest TeamPulse extension xView™ allows users to track status and health across a number of projects and teams at the same time. It highlights certain conditions so that in a single glance you can see if
a project needs attention or not; and if it does, to quickly understand
where the hot-spots are. The xView™ dashboard alerts users about blocking issues or bugs, the overall progress of the release or iteration, and if expectation won’t be met.

Reports
In addition to the built-in analytics, TeamPulse also allows users to generate reports for key performance metrics like velocity, iteration burndown, estimate by area and more. You can easily export those reports to some of the most widely used document formats like PDF, Excel or RTF and present them to management.

Some of the unique reports available are:
- Average Story Size by Area which helps teams understand the differences in how they estimate stories in different functional areas.
- Iteration Delta which helps teams understand if there is a difference between what was committed to in a sprint and what was delivered.
- Burndown by Area which allows teams to understand the rate with which things get done between functional areas of the application. Does one functional area look like it is in trouble? This report will answer that question.
- Task Burn Down that displays the completion of tasks in an iteration and gives trends for how much work is left until the successful closing of theiteration.
- Bugs by Area which shows the number of bugs broken down by project areas.
- Bugs by Severity Report shows the number of bugs broken down by bug severity levels.
