TeamPulse 2012 Roadmap

R3 and beyond

Time Tracking

Customers have been asking us to provide a way for their teams to record time. We’re planning on providing a comprehensive yet extremely clean and simple way to address this problem. The Time Tracking features will come as free TeamPulse feature. Here are a few features you should expect to see:
  • Ability to track time against tasks, stories, bugs
  • Ability to enter time against an iteration or release or project
  • Track non-working time
  • Report and export time tracking data

Early preview of the Time Tracking extension

The video below highlights some of the features of our Time Tracking extension. However, it shows the extension in its very early stages and it will develop further based on your feedback.

Tell us what you think about the upcoming Time Tracking extension. What features would you like us to include? Submit your feedback and feature requests.

Activity Stream

This live stream will allow you to see what is happening on your projects and collaborate with your team in real time. The stream will display updates made to work items and who has made them, then, if you wish, you will be able to leave comments. Initially, it will come only as part of TeamPulse xView.

Scheduling and Capacity Management

Time tracking leads naturally to overall team planning and capacity management. Scheduling and Capacity management help teams understand how team members are distributed across projects. Here are some features we’re working to provide:
  • View and manage resource assignments and calendars
  • Set capacity limits for resources
  • Track resource utilization
  • Manage resource costs
  • Resource and Capacity Reporting

Greater HTML5 Footprint

Due to overwhelming demand from customers HTML5 has become our platform of choice moving forward and we have plans to build all of our new components around HTML5 as well as to incrementally port existing functionality to a full HTML5 based user experience.

Continuous Updates to our Existing Products

While we build new features we’re going to continue to add value to our existing products and features. We will continue to release value in the form of feature updates and bug fixes to all our current products such as TeamPulse and the Feedback portal with every release. Expect updates to:
  • Bug tracking
  • Backlog Management
  • Reporting and data visualization
  • Feedback portal
  • Team Boards
Of course, there are a few more “surprises” that will be announced as the year progresses.

Our release plans have been always synced with your needs. All improvements and new features planned for each quarterly release are coming in direct response to internal discussions and customer feedback.
