I downloaded Work Item Manager to play with its functionality a bit today and I have to say it looks like a very promising alternative to Visual Studio/Team Web Access and Excel. Right now, my team is using a combination of all three of the aforementioned tools to perform work item tracking to a level that makes them happy. What doesn’t make them happy is using all three tools!

My scenario is that I would like several members of the team to use and evaluate Work Item Manager. Per the licensing agreement, I believe WIM is free (I could turn the Telerik Licensing Agreement over to legal for review but that tends to be a slow process).

My question becomes to stay within the terms of the licensing agreement ,I would need to have everyone on the team who intends to evaluate WIM create a Telerik Login and download it themselves, correct? Or could I just distribute the download to the team members I want to evaluate it?

Sorry, I’m not a lawyer, but I want to do this in accordance with the Telerik Licensing Agreement.

    Thanks!

    Hi Pete,

As WIM is a free product you may freely distribute the software to all the members of your team without requiring any individual downloads. While creating a Telerik account is also not strictly necessary, it does provide your team members with access to create support requests and forum entries, and also allows us to track interest in the product.

    Best wishes,

Thank you David. I can't wait to start getting some feedback from my team on WIM.
