  This may have been asked in a previous thread (re: theme), but can the colors of the work items in the task board be set somewhere?

  Unfortunately the colors for these cards can not be adjusted.

  We didn't implement that feature because the new feature development for WIM is stopped for now.
  I'll increase the priority of your request in our backlog and when we are planning for the next release we will consider it.
