  When installing the Work Item Manager for TFS 2008 the installer requires TFS 2010 to be installed.

  Hello Thomas,

   Indeed, the download link is pointing to the new version of Work Item Manager 2010 which required Team Explorer 2010.
  We've fixed the link and now it points back to Work Item Manager 2008.
  Work Item Manager 2008 is not updated anymore. You can use Work Item Manager 2010 with TFS 2008 but you have to install Team Explorer 2010.
