    Hi,

We run a development team that owns many projects, and we manage this by having our work items in one project, and our code in a number of other projects. The result is that when looking at the work item project in the dashboard we have no data for code churn, builds etc., whereas looking at the code projects we have that data but nothing for the work item widgets.

Is it possible (now or in the future) to specify the project on a widget-by-widget basis so we can see the work item data (effort, bug history, team activities etc.) from the work item project alongside the code data (last build breaker, build history, code churn etc.).

    Cheers

    Hello Dave,

At this time there is no way to get the dashboard to support your scenario.  I know Microsoft sometimes recommends following the approach your are using if you have a large project so this is a scenario that we should support.  However, right now there is no way to point some widgets at one project and other widgets to a different project.  I have added this as a feature request to our backlog and we will consider it for a future release.

    Thanks for the feedback.
