    Hi..

So I figured out to display a particular iteration within the Dashboard, but in going back into it to look at a different iteration, I can't seem to change it. It keeps showing me the same iteration as before.

I am connected to the TFS Warehouse...can select a query (which just so happen to be how we define an iteration by a group of requirements, CRs, and tasks, etc.)...and then I go into the iteration schedule interface and set the duration/dates...and then (I thought) I was able to launch the project dashboard to see the status of THAT particular iteration.  It seemed to work for one of our iterations, but when I try to switch to another query/iteration....the dashboard continues to show the first iteration's information.

So...how do I configure the dashboard to look at a particular query within the WIM?

thanks for any help you can provide....

    Hello Raylene,

The dashboard uses the iteration schedule createad in WIM to show data for the current iteration.  It also uses the configuration settings to build its own queries for retrieving data.  There is no way to create a work item query in TFS and have the dashboard use it to get data.

There is no functionality at the moment to allow you to specifically choose an iteration to show in the dashboard, other than by changing the dates in the iteration schedule.  Also, keep in mind that not all of the charts and widgets filter their data by the current iteration because for some of them it would not be appropriate.  Here is a list of the widgets that do filter by current iteration.

    Activity Board
    Current Activities
    Iteration Effort
    Iteration Progress
    Remaining Work Trend
    Team Activities
    Team Progress
