Technology and Software
Kangarooware was founded in June of 2006 by John A. Fuqua, former Chief Technology Officer of Go Figure, Inc. (World's Largest Membership Management Software Company) in quest for delivering enterprise quality software and technology services to small and medium business. The name Kangarooware was derived from three basic principals, Help Companies Move Forward, Help Companies Overcome Obstacles, and Help Companies Endure Change.
SIMS (Surplus Inventory Management System) was designed and built by Kangarooware LLC and Summus Industries, and applies principles learned by our experience in managing surplus inventory warehouses for large organizations. The application was designed to give management greater visibility of neglected valuable inventory resulting in cost savings. SIMS features real time inventory data, management reports, and easily be customized to meet your needs. We provide flexible solutions that can meet your requirements. Because our solution is a hosted solution, deployment was a major issue.
We chose Telerik Reporting based on its simplicity, ease of deployment, and track record in the ASP.NET component industry. The most enticing feature was that everything was done in C#. Most of the other tools we looked at support some variation or a VB Script type language. It was important that we kept the development language unified. We tried using several alternatives, Crystal Reports and Microsoft Reporting Services, but these turned out to be very cumbersome, difficult to deploy, and left you writing logic in a foreign language. Telerik was easy and fast.
SIMS was built using a variety of development tools. The solution is built on C# and MS SQL Server 2005. A majority of the application was code generated utilizing IronSpeed Designer. Rapid delivery of business value is important to us, so Telerik was a natural fit. Kangarooware is looking to include even more Telerik controls into the SIMS product. Thanks Telerik!
